Right, the snowball is that Microsoft is actually coming out and 
saying, "Hey! We like open source" after years of decrying it as 
inferior, unreliable, and insecure as compared to closed-source 
products.

Nobody really expects MS to get involved in OSS on any significant 
level. This is just a PR thing to dupe the public into thinking that 
they don't hate OSS as much as they really do deep down.
