You might just need to reseat or replace the IDE cable.  But more
likely, the drive is going bad and needs to be replaced immediately.

Or, to put it another way, hard drives are cheap.  Data loss is
expensive.  The possibility that a hard drive might be going bad is
enough to warrant replacement.  Don't forget the RAID.

After it's replaced, you can run a physical check and see if it might
be safe to use the drive in a non-critical function.
