This looks like a fine laptop. Dells generally have pretty good Linux
compatibility if that's important to you. AMD processors work just fine
with any OS and always have. (Although your specifications indicate an
Intel Core Duo CPU.) I would avoid the ATI graphics chip simply because
Linux drivers for ATI chips are usually questionable at best. Your best
option is nVidia, and next best is Intel. I don't see Bluetooth
mentioned, but if it's an option, throw it in. This will let you
communicate with other bluetooth devices like mice, keyboards, cell
phones, etc, without the need of an external USB adapter.
