It depends on what your design constraints are.

The quick answer to your question is most likely samba which you already
have installed since smb4k is just a gui front-end for the samba software.

You can 'telnet localhost 445' and see if you have it running. If not you
need to start the samba service, open up the firewalls, etc.

It comes installed with SWAT which is a web front end for it. It runs on
port 901  The url of http://localhost:901/ should work and that I believe
includes the whole documentation package. If it isn't running, the samba
manual is included as html files with the samba distribution and you
should be able to just open up a browser and read them.

If you have more design constraints, you may need to hit some of the
advanced options or may need to use something different then samba
altogether. :)
