[GLLUG] Pleading for Computer Lounge Volunteers

So far, ten people (plus me) have volunteered (via an e-mail message to
me) to spend time working in the computer lounge next weekend. I have
to schedule about seventy man-hours, so that would be a little over six
hours per volunteer thus far. That doesn't include time spent setting
up and putting away the equipment, assisting Eduardo in cooking for the
Brazilian beef barbecue, or helping people at the install-fest (which
will be Friday evening). I would gladly accept any more offers of help,
because not everyone wants to put in six hours plus whatever time the
extra activities I listed require. So, if you're going to be at
Penguicon anyway, would you please consider volunteering some time in
the computer lounge? It's not difficult work, and you can spend most of
the time surfing the web or doing research or even reading a book. You
could even talk to other GLLUG members, getting help for yourself,
because there is rarely just one GLLUG member in the computer lounge.
If you can help, please contact me at this e-mail address. Thanks.
Chick
P.S. If anyone else wants to help cook beef, let me know. We have a
full kitchen staff now, but, depending on when the work has to begin
(yet to be determined), at least one person may be at another event at
the beginning.
