| I generally avoid putting anything in version control that I will be
| generating as part of my build process.  This includes any shared
| libraries or executables that I might be building.  Putting those things
| in version control just creates problems down the road.

If you cannot generate these items as part of the build process,
however, you should still include the binary files.  Generally, this
would be something like a vendor supplied DLL or something that you need
to generate on a specialized machine that all developers don't have
access to.
