[GLLUG] Installing Ubuntu on Dell Insprion 2600 laptop (part 2)

Bert,
    Thanks for the offer of the converter.
    I'll keep that in mind, but I'd like to try to get some flavor of 
ubuntu installed on the laptop if possible, before I start taking the 
laptop apart.
    Still possible, but it can wait a week.
