[GLLUG] GLLUG Business

Charles (and everyone else, of course),
I think a place with a better WiFi signal would probably be a good idea. Where? Gone Wired is okay for just hanging out and having conversation. But if there is a presentation, by anyone, the incoming and outgoing interference has been a problem.
The idea of a summer picnic is a good one that several organizations I've been involved in have done in the past with good results. Though I don't think such social gatherings should necessarily be limited to just the summer.
I think expanding GLLUG's scope is a very good idea, even if it's done to explore only the growing library of Open Source software.

That's my two cents.

I wasn't able to make it to this week's meeting but I believe the matter
is still open. If there are no better options, we might give Gone Wired a
try again per Stan's suggestion. The library is a nice quiet place, but
maybe that's a problem. Even though I was one of the people who wanted to
move the group to a more presentation-friendly place, I'll admit that we
lost a lot of regulars and semi-regulars when we left the coffee shop.

At some point, I'd also like to bring up the possibility of broadening
GLLUG's scope (i.e., not just open source software), but that's a
discussion for another day.

I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem. Anyone willing to go in with me on
Brazilian Beef? :)
