[GLLUG] question about 32 bit vs 64 bit Ubuntu 12.04

There was a performance measuring program, and amd64 code could do the
integer test about twice as fast as 32 bit code.
I got a mobo with a max of 32 gig of fast ram supported (four slots).
So loading up the computer with enough ram, disabling swap, and get a
lot of cores in the processor (amd fx chips are a good price per core
count), results in a good machine, I'd say.
So, maybe just load up ram, and disable swap.
