There have been several responses about LMN directly back, so I thought I
would bring them together.

Fee:

There will be no charge for GLLUG meetings. This is part of LMN's outreach
program. And if members join each other, all the better. Note that a LMN
member with key needs to be present. And I offered in prior email to help
for a while.

Dues:

LMN has two level of dues "Coder" and "Crafter". The idea, not clearly
documented, is that Crafter gets access to the Heavy Tools, such as a Large
CNC (more overhead, etc.) . But since LMN is still acquiring/building tools
this is kind of academic. And some like contributing more to the cause.
Note, there are also discounts for paying in advance, etc. Guests of LMN
members are welcome.

Meetings:

When are meetings? LMN Board meetings are 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the Month.
And are Open to the public. Additionally, there are various other events.
Here is a link to LMN's calendar http://bit.ly/lmnSpaceSchedule

Food and Beverages:

LMN is fortunate in that this space is huge. So Food and tools won't mix.
Currently there is no hot water, but there is microwave, someone brought in
a coffee pot. It may need an upgrade depending upon critics. As the Temple
Club was a night club there are lounge and bar areas. Just light on
furniture.

It is very much a Work In Progress.

That said the Temple Club is a temporary space until the old Lease Way space
is decontaminated, later this year, off of 496 and Old Lansing Road on W
Saint Joseph http://goo.gl/maps/ISXuj.

LMN also invites non-members to stop by, ask questions and participate, when
the doors are open.

Lansing Makers Network <http://www.lansingmakersnetwork.org/> (aka LMN), is
now open at 502 E. Grand River Ave <http://goo.gl/maps/nqUfn> , the former
"Temple Club" in Old Town. And looking for members, volunteers and or
interested persons.

LMN is inviting GLLUG to have their regular weekly meeting at LMN.
Membership to LMN is not required, see below. It is primary goal of LMN to
foster and provide likeminded communities a common space for meeting and
collaborating, such as GLLUG. I anticipate a lot of collaboration in the
future.

FYI-

As LMN members have keys, at least one member needs to be present and
responsible. (for now I will be welcome to host any meetings).

We are accepting membership, tools, etc..., almost anything

All are welcome, stop by, visit or pass on that LMN is open.

We have plenty of space, both horizontal and vertical.

We have internet.

Unlike Schuler's we don't close at 9pm.

We don't have barista's. But since it was the old Temple Club there are
plenty of bar areas.

We have several projects, if others want to help.

We are building our first Laser Cutter.

We are building a twitter-bot (or like) to indicate members are present.

We are looking for security and other type of network improvements.

Several Maker Faire Projects.

As LMN is member/community operated 501(c)3, as such it can be whatever WE
all want, with a focus of Making Things.

Please feel free to ask any questions and or let me know if GLLUG would like
to meet at LMN.
