Actually, if it is VLAN'd and it doesn't impact my pipe (which they say it doesn't), I don't see this as being all that horrible.

That said, something tells me it isn't fully vetted and probably has some massive gaping security hole.  

I just checked my Comcast box that was just put in back in September and there is no second broadcast or hidden SSID on the box, so I guess i'm not affected.
