Do you have eth1 set up to bridge the network with eth0? Or is eth1
set up with a private network (separate from what's on eth0) and has
NAT set up?

Yes, it's a problem if the two DHCP servers are serving the same
network. I'm assuming you only have dhclient set up to serve
addresses on eth1?
