I was hired there with only self-taught desktop Linux experience and was there for two years before leaving. No certs or formal education. Intermediate Linux knowledge should be enough, the rest is learned through training, shadowing and mentoring, at least on the support team.

 From what I heard several years ago, you didn't even need to know much 
about Linux to start there, as they train everyone on Linux for the 
first few weeks.  Is this no longer the case, if it ever was?
