For what it's worth, LCC is offering a Linux/UNIX
class either this spring or next fall, I forget
exectly when.

That's awesome. When I took AP Comp. Sci. in
high school, it was me, a book, and a copy of
Symantec OOPC (for Mac System 6, no less!).
I don't know about C, but we have an excellent
instructor who teaches our C++ on Linux class.
