   Interesting.  Which base model did you pick for that?  I chose the
   Inspiron 8000 and configured it to the above specs and came out at
   $2591.  I think that the Inspiron 8000 is more or less equivalent
   to the Armada M700, am I wrong?
   
I went with the 4000.  At a second look, you are probably right about
the 8000 more equivelant to the M700.  I do not find unlivable
differences between the 4000 and 8000, such that I hardly ever look at
it.
