I think you're talking about the registration process you need to do 
with Comcast.  Unfortunately, I found that it only works with Internet 
Explorer on Windows.  Once you do the registration however, you should 
have no problem with using Linux.  Basically, you need to use a windows 
box for about 5 minutes.
