[GLLUG] Myth

I don't have Comcast, so I can't answer those questions specifically,
but I have two Myth boxes and Charter Cable in Kazoo.

Everything works fine for me. My main Myth backend (downstairs) has
a large hard drive which stores all of the recordings. My frontend-only
Myth box (upstairs) only has the Linux OS and the Myth frontend software.
Both boxes appear identical from a users's standpoint. All the menus are
exactly the same, they all display and play the same recorded programs,
you can view/change the recording schedule from either box, etc.

And remember that Myth is just a regular Linux distro (Fedora, debian, etc.)
running the Myth software, so you can run anything that Linux can run in
addition to running Myth. (Samba file server, web server, whatever)
That's provided your box has the resources to run everything you want. :-)
