I hadn't thought of that, and now that you mention it I will probably try to
do both. More options for submitting maps :-)

For all the trouble you'd spend on parsing the email, why not just write a
small web-based form to upload the map and collect any pertinent data?
You'll probably end up coding it in PHP or Perl anyway...
