Mine's made in China and I haven't had any problems with it. As of a
couple years ago, the WG511T was one of the few Linux-compatible wifi
cards that didn't switch to a non-Linux-compatible chipset in later
revisions. Now there are more choices, but it's still nice to be able to
just tell people, "you want model x" and then they can just skip out and
go buy it when the need a Linux wifi card in a hurry. Maybe you got a
bad card once, but based on Bill's and my experience, I'm not sure that
the country of manufacture significantly affects the reliability of the
card.
