How about open source games?  Cube is a pretty decent FPS and should run 
on older hardware.  Battle for Wesnoth is a nice strategy game and 
doesn't need a lot to run either.  Just check out the top rated list on 
Happy Penguin, should be plenty of stuff to show off there.
