gllug.org is hosted from a shared hosting server.  An irc server is not 
appropriate there.

Honestly, if somebody wants to try starting an irc channel, they're 
welcome to do that, but past experience has shown that we lack critical 
mass to make an irc channel a useful tool for anybody.

If you have trouble using an email program, I suggest taking the time to 
learn.  Something approximating proper grammar and punctuation go a long 
way to making this medium easier to use.  We aren't hard cases about it, 
but in email it's eqivalent to mumbling when speaking in person.
