It isn't about hating, it's about losing the ability to do things with it
after you've bought it.  The idea that ram is soldered in means you
don't have the option to think about expansion later--you have to
guess now, what your needs are likely to be.

Me, I'm often feeding laptops new things, especially  more ram.
This is bad, I think.

Apple is morphing into an appliance company away from being a
computer company.  Certainly their business model seems to be
working.
